Organic Bladderwrack C/S
Organic Bladderwrack C/S (Fucus vesiculosus) is a brown seaweed found along the rocky coastlines of the North Atlantic and Baltic Sea. Bladderwrack is named for the small air-filled bladders on its fronds that help it float toward sunlight. It has been used in European herbal and folk medicine for centuries, particularly in coastal communities where seaweed was a dietary and medicinal staple.
Traditional Uses
Bladderwrack is one of the richest natural sources of iodine, a trace mineral essential for healthy thyroid function. European herbalists have used bladderwrack since at least the 18th century, when it became one of the original sources of iodine used in early medical practice. Traditional uses include supporting thyroid health, promoting healthy metabolism, and providing broad-spectrum mineral nutrition.
Bladderwrack also contains fucoidan, alginic acid, and a variety of vitamins and trace minerals. These compounds have attracted growing scientific interest for their potential role in supporting immune and digestive health.
